The 1982 Kilkenny Intermediate Hurling Championship was the 18th staging of the Kilkenny Intermediate Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Kilkenny County Board in 1929.[1]
The final was played on 10 October 1982 at Nowlan Park in Kilkenny, between Clara and Carrickshock, in what was their first ever meeting in the final.[2] Carrickshock won the match by 0–13 to 0–09 to claim their first ever championship title.[3]
