- ^ Bevan was a sitting councillor representing the Stockwell ward
- ^ Abu-Bakr was elected in a by-election triggered by the resignations of Cllrs Cooper-King and Harrison in 1995. He was elected alongside Simon Adams who did not stand for re-election.[6]
