In mathematics, an eigenoperator, A, of a matrix H is a linear operator such that

[ H , A ] = λ A {\displaystyle [H,A]=\lambda A\,}

where λ {\displaystyle \lambda } is a corresponding scalar called an eigenvalue.[1]
