Hurand District (Persian: بخش هوراند) is a former administrative division of Ahar County, East Azerbaijan province, Iran. Its capital was the city of Hurand.[4]
History
In 2018, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Hurand County[5]
Demographics
Population
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the district's population was 22,528 in 4,744 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 21,089 people in 5,504 households.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the district as 20,701 inhabitants in 6,154 households.[3]
