Katja Bornschein (born 16 March 1972) is a German former footballer who played as a forward.
She was part of the Germany women's national football team at the 1996 Summer Olympics, but did not compete. On club level she played for FSV Frankfurt.[citation needed]
On 2 September 1990, at 11:05 CEST, she scored the first goal of the Frauen-Bundesliga.[1]
