"Like Him" is a song by American rapper and producer Tyler, the Creator from his eighth studio album, Chromakopia (2024). It features English singer Lola Young, as well as a one-word ad-lib from American rapper Baby Keem.[citation needed] The song was written and produced entirely by Tyler. It was sent to US rhythmic radio on February 11, 2025, as the third single from Chromakopia.[1]
The song explores themes of identity, family dynamics, and the lasting emotional impact of an absent father. Critics have praised "Like Him" for its emotional depth, introspective lyricism, and atmospheric production. Lola Young's haunting vocal contribution has also been highlighted as a powerful complement to Tyler's performance.[citation needed]

Composition
The song includes soul elements[2] and piano-led production.[3] In the lyrics, Tyler, the Creator dwells on his conflicted feelings regarding his upbringing and growing up with an absent father,[3][4][5] wondering if he would end up like him.[6] Tyler reflects on his resemblance to his father,[4][7] which his mother has always shown awe in,[4] and sings about him "chasing a ghost" as he never knew him.[8] The outro features a message from his mother, who takes responsibility for his father's estrangement from the family due to her poor choices and confesses that he had always wanted to be involved in Tyler's life.[5][6][7][9][10]
