Proloricaria is a small genus of suckermouth armored catfishes native to Brazil. Both species are found in the upper Paraná River basin.

There are currently two recognized species in this genus:[1]
- Proloricaria lentiginosa (Isbrücker, 1979)
- Proloricaria prolixa (Isbrücker & Nijssen, 1978)
