イカナゴ（Gymnammodytes semisquamatus）は、イカナゴ科イカナゴの一種である。[2] [3]
説明
最大体長は30cm（12インチ）、成魚では典型的には15cm（5.9インチ）である。背鰭軟条は53～56本、臀鰭軟条は26～31本である。口蓋には尖った歯がなく、側線は分岐しており、体後部3分の1のみが鱗状である（そのため種小名はsemisquamatus、「半分の鱗状」を意味する）。[4]椎骨は64～72個で、体色は黄金色またはピンク色で、腹部は銀色である。[5]また、バチのような形の目も特徴的である。[6]
分布と生息地
イギリス、アイルランド、北海の海域に生息する底生魚です。[7] [8] 1990年にスペイン沖で初めて地中海に出現し、現在ではGymnammodytes cicerelusと共存する安定した個体群が見られます。[9]
行動
イワナは夏に産卵する。[10]プランクトンを餌とする。[5]
