United High School is a public high school located in Hanoverton, Ohio, United States. It is the only high school in the United Local School District. Athletic teams are known as the Eagles and compete as a member of the Ohio High School Athletic Association in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference.
History
Opened in 1955, United High School serves students grades 9-12. In its current campus they house students grades 7-12.
in July 1944, a meeting was held to consolidate the Hanover Rural School District, Kensington Special School District and the Butler School District to form the United Local School District. The elementary school buildings were completed in 1951, following by the high school in 1955.
A new auditorium and gymnasium were added in 1997, along with a third level of classrooms in the high school. In 2001,[4]
Academics
United High School offers courses in the traditional American curriculum. Entering their third and fourth years, students can elect to attend the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center in Lisbon as either a part-time or full-time student.[5]
