会陰海綿体は、女性の下性器領域に見られる、組織と血管からなるスポンジ状のクッションです。膣口と直腸の間に位置し、会陰部と会陰小体の内部にあります。[要出典]
機能
会陰海綿体は勃起組織で構成されており、性的興奮時には血液で膨張し、膣の外側3分の1、前庭球、尿道海綿体を圧迫することで膣を締め付け、膣とペニス（関与している場合）への刺激を増大させます。[1]
性的刺激
会陰海綿体は多数の神経終末を含む性感組織であり、そのため膣の後壁や直腸の上壁を通して刺激を受けることができる。[2]
