Ľutina is a village and municipality in Sabinov District in the Prešov Region of north-eastern Slovakia.

Etymology

The name comes from Slavicľutъ: wild, malicious (the name of the stream Ľutinka/Ľutina that runs through the village).^[4]

History

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1330.

Geography

The municipality lies at an altitude of 429 metres (1,407 ft)^[3] and covers an area of 6.91 km² (2.67 sq mi) (2024).^[5]
