Dan Madesclaire, better known as apEX, is a professional Counter-Strike player who currently plays for Team Vitality.
Career
2025
In January 2025, Vitality benched Spinx and signed ropz few days later, which kicked off Vitality's longest winning streak ever (and the longest ever within Counter-Strike 2). Madesclaire led his team to win 7 consecutive trophies in the first half of 2025, starting with IEM Katowice and ending with the Blast Austin Major 2025.[1] Madesclaire and his team would go on to lose the next tournament, IEM Cologne 2025, in the semi-finals to MOUZ 0-2, ending their historic run.[2] After four months of getting eliminated out of tournaments, Vitality won ESL Pro League Season 22, making it their 8th trophy this year.[3] Madesclaire closed out the year by leading his team to yet another Major title, becoming the first team since Astralis in 2019 to win back-to-back major titles. Vitality's victory at StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 was Madesclaire's 4th Counter-Strike Major title.
