Cylindera germanicaは、 Cylindera属ハンミョウの現生種である。Cylindera germanicaは、スカンジナビアから中央ヨーロッパ、バルカン半島に至るまで、ヨーロッパの大部分に分布している。^[1]Cylindera germanica germanica、 Cylindera germanica michaelensis、 Cylindera germanica muelleri、 Cylindera germanica sobrinaの4亜種が認められている。^[2]

基亜種であるC. g. germanicaは、ヨーロッパの大部分とロシア東部に広く生息しています。しかし、ギリシャ、コルシカ島、シチリア島、トルコには生息していません。この亜種がポーランドに生息しているかどうかは、科学者の間では不明です。^[4]
