恐竜の属の一覧

恐竜は、恐竜亜綱に属する多様な爬虫類のグループです。恐竜は2億4300万年前から2億3323 万年前の三畳紀に初めて出現しましたが、恐竜の進化の正確な起源と時期については、現在も研究が進められています。2億130万年前の三畳紀-ジュラ紀の大量絶滅の後、恐竜は陸生脊椎動物の支配的存在となり、その優位性はジュラ紀白亜紀を通じて続きました。化石記録によると、鳥類はジュラ紀後期初期の獣脚類から進化した現代の羽毛恐竜です。そのため、約6600万年前の白亜紀-古第三紀の大量絶滅を生き延びた唯一の恐竜の系統です。鳥類は羽毛獣脚類恐竜であり、唯一知られている現生恐竜です。

この恐竜の一覧は、これまで非鳥類型恐竜であると考えられてきたすべてのを網羅していますが、非鳥類型かどうか議論のある恐竜や、純粋に俗語的な用語も含まれています。

このリストには、一般的に認められているすべての属が含まれていますが、現在では無効、疑わしい(nomen dubium)、正式に公表されていない(nomen nudum )、ジュニアシノニム、もはや恐竜とはみなされていない属も含まれています。掲載されている多くの学名は、鳥類からワニ類、化石木に至るまで、様々なものに再分類されています。このリストには1809の学名が含まれており、そのうち約1383は有効な恐竜の属または疑わしい(nomina dubia)とされています。

範囲と用語

鳥類以外の恐竜の属を全て網羅した公式の正典的な一覧は存在しない。最も近いのは、生物命名の専門家であるジョージ・オルシェフスキーがまとめた『恐竜の属一覧』である。これは1995年に初めてオンラインで公開され、2021年6月まで定期的に更新されていた。[1] [2]この分野で最も権威のある一般情報源は『恐竜の分類と研究』第2版(2004年)である。以下に挙げる名前の大部分はオルシェフスキーの一覧に拠っており、主観的な判断(ジュニアシノニムや非恐竜化石のステータスなど)は、 『恐竜の分類と研究』に基づいているが、一次文献と矛盾する場合はその旨を明記する。

命名規則と用語は国際動物命名規約に準拠しています。使用される専門用語には以下が含まれます。[1]

  • ジュニアシノニム:同じ分類群を、既に公表されている名称と同じ名称で記述する学名。2つ以上の属が正式に指定され、その後タイプ標本が同一の属に割り当てられた場合には、最初に公表された属(年代順)がシニアシノニムとなり、それ以外の属はジュニアシノニムとなる。シニアシノニムは、ICZN(国際生物分類学会)の特別決定(ティラノサウルス参照)を除き、一般的に使用される。しかし、ジュニアシノニムは、たとえ廃止されたとしても、異なる属に再利用することはできない。ジュニアシノニムの決定は、記載された属が両方とも同一のタイプ標本に基づいている場合を除き、主観的な判断となることが多い。
  • Nomen nudum(ラテン語で「裸の名前」):印刷物には登場しているものの、ICZNの基準ではまだ正式に公表されていない学名。Nominanuda(複数形)は無効であるため、正式属名のようにイタリック体で表記されません。後に正式に公表された場合、その学名はもはやnomen nudum、同じ標本を表すnomina nudaと異なります
  • Nomen oblitum(ラテン語で「忘れられた名前」): 最初に提案されてから 50 年以上科学界で使用されていない名前。
  • Nomen manuscriptum (ラテン語で「原稿名」) : 科学的な裏付けのない正式な出版物の原稿に記載されている名前。
  • 既得名:正式に公表されている学名であるにもかかわらず、既に別の分類群で使用されている学名。この2度目の使用は無効であり(その後の使用も同様)、学名を置き換える必要があります。既得名は有効な属名ではありません。
  • Nomen dubium(ラテン語で「疑わしい名前」の意):特徴的な診断的特徴を持たない化石に付けられた名前。これは極めて主観的で議論の余地のある命名となる可能性があるため(ハドロサウルスを参照)、このリストでは属名を「疑わしい名前」と表記すべきではありません。
