エルヴィス・プレスリーは、全英シングルチャートで他のどのアーティストよりも多く、21 曲のナンバーワンを獲得しました。

UKシングルチャートは、その歴史の大半においてイギリス国内の日曜日から土曜日までのシングル売上に基づいていた週間レコードチャートである。2014年7月からはストリーミングデータも組み込まれ、2015年7月10日からは金曜日から木曜日までの週に基づいている。2026年1月16日の時点で、1448枚のシングルが1位を獲得している。このチャートは1952年にニュー・ミュージカル・エクスプレス（NME）のパーシー・ディキンスによって創設された。彼は20のレコード店に電話をかけ、最も売れているシングルトップ10を尋ねた。ディキンスはその結果をトップ12ヒットパレードにまとめ、アル・マルティーノの「 Here in My Heart」が首位に立った。NMEのチャートは毎週、同名の雑誌に掲載されていた 。

英国でナンバーワンヒットとなった曲が最も多かった暦年は2000年で、42曲だった。ナンバーワンヒットとなった曲が最も少なかった年は2016年で、10曲だった。1952年はチャートが11月に始まったにもかかわらず、ナンバーワンヒットは1曲だけだった。
