Pterostylis simulansは南オーストラリア固有のランの一種である。 [ 2 ]
2014年にロバート・ジョン・ベイツによって初めて記載されました。[ 1 ] [ 3 ]種小名のsimulansは、このランがより背の高いPterostylis excelsaと、より繊細なP. cobarensisの両方に似ていることに由来しています。[ 1 ]
