At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 1,312 in 326 households, when it was in Chegeni District[d] of Khorramabad County.[9] The following census in 2011 counted 1,515 people in 368 households,[10] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Dowreh County,[e] with Sarab-e Dowreh as its capital.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 1,713 people in 478 households.[2]
