The Watchmen of Saul is a 1961 British television play by Bruce Stewart. It was the third play from Stewart set in Australia for British television, following Shadow of a Pale Horse and The Devil Makes Sunday.[1][2] Charles Tingwell appeared in it after having acted in Emergency Ward Ten for three years.[3]
Set in Sydney, Australia, during a heatwave. Lestrange is a rising young architect who has designed a modern building. Master builder of the project is Joe Saul, a millionaire tycoon. Despite the heat and opposition from Lestrange, Saul keeps his men at work on the building.
